overview
Up Up and Away is a balloon decor business serving the local market, creating custom balloon installations, displays, and arrangements for events, parties, and celebrations.

When the business launched in early 2026, the owner had been operating primarily through Facebook, relying on social media alone to reach potential customers. There was no website, no searchability, and no digital foundation to support growth beyond word-of-mouth and social sharing.

The goal was to change that. Building a complete digital presence from the ground up that would not only look professional, but actively work to attract new customers, generate inquiries, and support long-term visibility in local search.
90-day traffic overview for Up Up and Away

1,062 unique visitors and 1,409 sessions from March to June 2026
the challenge
Up Up and Away was starting from zero. No existing website. No search presence. No digital portfolio. No way for potential customers to find the business outside of social media.

For a service-based local business, that's a significant gap. Most people searching for balloon decor for an upcoming event aren't scrolling through Facebook. They're Googling. Without a website, Up Up and Away simply wasn't showing up where it mattered most.

Beyond visibility, there were practical challenges to solve:
-
No streamlined way to collect inquiries or pricing requests
-
No portfolio to showcase past work and build trust with new visitors
-
No local SEO foundation to support search visibility in the area
-
No clear path for a visitor to go from discovering the business to becoming a lead
The website needed to do more than exist. It needed to function as a full marketing and lead generation tool from day one.
the approach
This project was built around one core idea: a website should work for your business, not just represent it.

Every decision, from site structure to page content to where calls-to-action were placed, was made with the end goal in mind: helping potential customers find Up Up and Away, understand the services offered, and feel confident enough to reach out.

The approach centered on four key areas:

Mobile-first design
With the majority of local service searches happening on mobile devices, the site was designed for mobile first and optimized across all screen sizes from there.

Service-focused structure
Clear navigation and dedicated service pages were built so visitors could quickly find what was most relevant to their event, their needs, and their budget, without having to dig for it.

Local SEO foundation
The site was built with local search in mind from the start, including service-specific content, location-focused pages, metadata optimization, and Google Search Console integration so the site could begin gaining visibility in local search results right away.

Conversion-focused content
Strategic calls-to-action were placed throughout the site to guide visitors toward the next step, whether that was viewing pricing, exploring designs, or submitting an inquiry.

In addition to the website build, the project included support for Google Business Profile optimization and a review collection strategy to strengthen Up Up and Away's local presence beyond the website itself.
the solution
The final website gave Up Up and Away a complete digital home. A professional, mobile-optimized experience built to attract local customers and convert them into inquiries.

From the homepage to the pricing page to the contact form, every element was designed with a clear purpose: help visitors quickly understand what Up Up and Away offers, build confidence in the business, and make it easy to take the next step.

The site launched as a fully built, SEO-optimized, analytics-connected foundation, ready to grow alongside the business.
